LAPIERRE BLUEBERRIES
Farming is in Mark LaPierre’s blood. Growing up, both his grandparents had farms in the Yakima area and he worked on farms through high school and college. In 1985 Mark LaPierre decided that he wanted to start his own cherry orchard so he bought a small piece of land in Zillah, Washington and with a lot of hard work his vision became a reality. His constant desire to produce the best fruit possible inspired the transition to organic farming.
In 2010 the LaPierre family started growing blueberries. Their blueberries are harvested by hand and the harvesters pass through the field multiple times each season to allow the berries to reach ideal size and flavor. They are then cooled overnight and packed the next day, ensuring maximum freshness.
Now harvesting large, firm Draper blueberries with outstanding flavor through July!
