ENGLISH AND SNAP PEAS
Nothing says spring like fresh English and Sugar Snap Peas. English Peas are also called Pod Peas, Garden Peas or Shelling Peas. Earl’s California English Peas, the large Mr. Big variety, and Sugar Snap Peas are coming from Tutti Frutti in Santa Barbara County.

We first met with Anna’s Organics, a up and coming new grower partner located near Chowchilla, CA. Outside of their small pack-shed we met Manuel, father and principal grower, Luis, his son who takes care of sales, Anna, his daughter in charge of business and organic compliance, and their mother: quality control, and operations. It’s a true family-run business!

California Organic Asparagus from Coastal View Produce in the Salinas Valley is a sure sign Spring is here! As the first golden rays light up the morning sky -on any given morning- you will find Ron Mondo out in the fields, meeting with supervisors and field operations managers. His is not a 9-5 job. Ron Mondo is a second generation farmer who grew up in Santa Cruz, California.
GOLD NUGGET MANDARINS
Gold Nugget Mandarins have bumpy skin, are very aromatic and are easy to peel. Fruit is seedless with a rich and sweet flavor. Season starts in San Diego County, overlaps and finishes in the foothills of Fresno County.
FARM TOUR 2022: RAINBOW VALLEY ORCHARDS
In Selma we met the infamous Ryan San Jose, “Sales Ninja” of Rainbow Valley Orchards, and quickly hopped in his truck to start our tour. He launched into RVO history as he weaved through traffic on the 99 towards Visalia, flanked by the fruit and nut orchards that dominate the San Joaquin Valley.
