Produce that inspires… knowledge.
Our passion for produce and drive to share knowledge across the chain is one of our biggest differentiators at Earl’s Organics.
FROST KISSED ARTICHOKES
Artichokes from California's central coast and desert have a beautiful frost kiss. The frost causes the outer layer of the artichoke to turn brown, flake and peel when the temperature reaches below 32 degrees. Although the brownish color may not look pretty, frost kissed artichokes have a more intense nutty flavor.
GOLD NUGGET MANDARINS
Gold Nugget Mandarins have bumpy skin and are very aromatic and easy to peel. Fruit is seedless with a rich and sweet flavor. Excellent for juicing! Download Earl’s Winter Citrus Guide and follow the flavor.
MANDARINQUAT
Mandarinquats are a cross between a kumquat and a mandarin. They are a fun bell shape, larger than your average kumquat and they have an edible sweet peel and tart flesh. Take a bite out of this juicy kumquat or cut into slices to add to salads or desserts.
WEATHER STRESS DELAYS WINTER CITRUS VARIETALS
The California citrus season has been slow to start and the harvest of mandarin varieties such as the Tango and Page continue to be pushed back. Many years of drought as well as extreme hot weather during the growing season has stressed the trees, crippled crops volume and increased issues such as dry cell.
PAGE MANDARINS
It's almost Lunar New Year and Fruit World is grateful for the break in the rain to harvest and pack Page Mandarins- one of their favorites! Super juicy, Page is a cross between a Clementine and a Minneola which gives it a sweet but complex flavor and deep orange flesh.
HEAVY RAINS AFFECT CITRUS HARVEST
Heavy rain throughout California continues for yet another week. Citrus has certainly been affected with harvest coming to a halt on Clementines, Navels and upcoming Tango crop. The rain has made it cumbersome for the workers and tractors to get out on the muddy ground.
CALIFORNIA FAMILY FARM KIWIS
California Family Farms kiwis are grown in the Central San Joaquin Valley and harvested riper for a sweeter than the average kiwi.

WORLD PREMIER VIDEO: JOURNEY OF A SIDE HILL CITRUS SATSUMA
Meet Side Hill Citrus grower Rich Ferreira and follow the journey of Side Hill Satsumas from harvest in the Sacramento Foothills to your local retailer. Side Hill grows the best tasting Satsumas in California! Easy to peel, they have the perfect mix of sweetness, tartness and low acidity, with very little pulp, no seeds and taste like they are melting in your mouth. Satsumas have six to seven times as much synephrine, a natural decongestant, as other citrus. Four or five Satsumas have enough synephrine to equal the effect of a Sudafed tablet. Enjoy and stay healthy!
